Recommendations for mowing are to adjust your mower height to 3 ½ inches for the best results. By doing so, you reduce weed and crabgrass population and improve turf color, thickness, and vigor. Also, vertically trimming your edges will reduce your weed and crabgrass germination. Scalping edges to the dirt promotes weeds and crabgrass.
